Why "Coaching Language" Doesn't Attract Clients?

"Coaching Language" Doesn't Attract Clients.

Clear, relatable language does.

What is a "Coaching Language"?

A specialized jargon and terminology often used by coaches within their professional community.

This language might include terms like "limiting beliefs," "self-actualization," or "growth mindset."

While these terms are well-understood within the coaching industry, they can be confusing or unrelatable to potential clients who are not familiar with them.

Example: People don't pay to eliminate their limiting beliefs.

Nobody wakes up at night and says:

"I must work with a coach to eliminate my limiting beliefs."

In fact, they would only know they have limiting beliefs once they work with a coach.

Right?

So, dear coach,

Please drop the "coaching language" from your messaging.

  • People don't understand it.

  • It doesn't show how you can help.

  • It doesn't inspire people to work with you.

Instead,

  • Connect with your audience,

  • Capture the language they speak,

  • Use it in your marketing and messaging.

This way, your marketing will be clear, relatable, and effective.

Now, it's your turn,

Do you find it difficult to write effective messaging for your coaching?
